ISO 17100 is the new international standard that supersedes the European standard for translation services DIN EN 15038:2006. It defines the requirements, applicable worldwide, in terms of core processes, resources and other aspects necessary for the delivery of a high quality translation service.
As chairman of the DIN committee, Enrique López-Ebri again played a key role in the development of this new standard from the outset, and many of the quality aspects originate from the established and highly efficient work processes employed at medDOC®.
On 1 October 2015, medDOC® was audited under this new standard by the independent certification institute DEKRA. The audit report states: "The staff adopt a highly customer-centred approach to their work. Translation projects are managed very professionally and with a strict focus on customer requirements."
